Tamarind Vegetable Broth is a liquid food preparation, typically consisting of either water or an already flavored stock, in which bonesmeatfishcereal grains, or vegetables have beensimmered.in sri lanka we used ” Thambun Hodi.” we use same method for my sri Lankan style vegetable broth.in here if any one want to try fresh chicken stock then don’t use the tamarind.

Ingredients

  • carrot diced

  • pumpkin diced

  • onion diced

  • some chopped garlic

  • some Cabbage

  • some Snack gourd

  • 1 tsp butter

  • 3 tsp tamarind

  • 200 ml of vegetable Stock

  • chopped karapincha

  • salt

  • pepper

Directions

  • diced all vegetables,keep a side, dilute tamarind in some water.
  • add little butter in to the pan,add onion and garlic and curry leaves and saute for a while
  • add other vegetables as well.fallow with tamarind juice,and add vegetable stock in to it….bring it to boil and simmer till vegetable get cooked
  • still you are free to use the same method with out tamarind.i used this method according sri lanakan pallet.
