It is native to parts of Southand Southeast Asia, and is believed to have originated in the southwestern rain forests of India, in present-day Kerala, coastal Karnataka and Maharashtra

this is easy jackfruit tempered preparation and low cost sri lankan dish.nay people love to have such in there meat. spicy jack give great pungency on food.


  • 200 g Jack fruit
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • some rampe/karapincha
  • a green chili sliced
  • salt
  • 2 tsp Coconut oil


Step 1

heat the oil,add the sliced onion,green,chilis and rampe karapincha.

Step 2

Saute for while,add chili flakes.fallow with jackfruit mixed

Step 3

cove with a lid,reduce the fire and cook in very slow fire.

Step 4

add the sate and send in to the table with sri lanakn rice and curry or with roti.
