This is a mix of onion & chillies pounded with complete the preparation lime juice is added.
An ideal accompaniment with Milk rice, known as ‘Kiribath’ and Appa(Hoppers).
I personally like lunu miris with boiled green gram for breakfast. Ideal made wit red onion instead of bombay onion.
Consumed and enjoyed by everyone in the country.

A very quick & easy dish. This is not a main dish. Lunu miris is used as an accompaniment for food like hoppers & milk rice.  This is prepared by grinding all ingredients together. At the end it turn out as a paste. There are no house wives in our country i am sure,. who is not aware of preparing this easy dish.

  • 2 Onions Finely chopped
  • Chilli flakes
  • Lime juice
  • Salt

Step 1

Grind all ingredients together on a grinding stone until it becomes a paste or if not available..chop all ingredients finely and mix by hand.
