Ala Dosi is one of Sri lankan traditional sweet preparation during the new year season.but many of Sri lakan kid love to have all the time in the day.easy and low costed recipe.this is very famous in sri lankan and south India. this is a originated from sri laka. and after it spread to other Asian countries.


  • 300 g Potato
  • 400 g sugar
  • 200 g Grated fresh coconut
  • cordemon cloves
  • pinch of salt


Step 1

Boiled the potatoes and mash and allow to cool.

Step 2

take a pan add potato and sugar together,

Step 3

stir in slow fire for long time till the potato and sugar get thick,then add the coconut and stir in very slow fire for long time.

Step 4

lay on a try.let it cool,and cut in to prices
