Sri Lanka’s Railway Department will officially roll out the online reservation system for all train seats starting today, March 14, 2024. This initiative, as announced by the President’s Media Division (PMD), encompasses bookings for standard seats as well as warrant reservations.
Passengers can conveniently secure their reservations through the dedicated online platform at https://seatreservation.railway.gov.lk/ or opt for phone bookings through leading service providers such as Mobitel, Hutch, Airtel, and Dialog by dialing 444 & Telecom networks on 1265. Furthermore, travelers have the option to utilize the Sri Lanka Railways Reservation mobile application for seamless online booking.
This development marks a significant step towards enhancing accessibility and convenience for rail passengers across the country.
